I have twelve years’ experience acting as a specialist construction lawyer. During this time I have dealt with a huge range of construction issues gaining a breadth of experience acting for employers, contractors and professionals.
I started my career in the City working for a well-known international law firm. I then worked in two large regional firms before breaking away in 2021 to become a founding partner of Archor.
My specialism lies in the resolution of construction disputes, particularly through adjudication. I am also experienced in litigation, arbitration and all other forms of ADR. The majority of my work concerns the resolution of final account disputes, although I’m also used to dealing with issues such as defects, delay, negligence, and all manner of construction-related disputes.
In additional to my contentious work, I also frequently advise on the risk allocation in standard forms including JCT and NEC contracts, and I am often asked to provide contractual and commercial advice to clients both prior to and during projects.
Legal 500 has quoted one of my clients as saying that my “practical, pragmatic approach to construction contract advice has been invaluable; thanks to her, we are able to engage more effectively in contract negotiations”. Chambers has described me as “one to watch”, with them describing me as being “conscientious and diligent”.
