Archor: leading the way in construction

The Times has published its list of the Best Law Firms for 2027, and we’re delighted to confirm that Archor is one of them. The esteemed list names the top 250 firms from the nearly 10,000 in England and Wales. Archor aside, all but one of the thirteen commended for construction are full service London or international law firms.

The Times rankings are based on other lawyers’ recommendations: solicitors and barristers in England, Wales and Scotland are asked to recommend the best law firms (aside from their own) in various categories – and those with the most votes among the nearly 10,000 firms in England and Wales make the list.

This recognition comes on the back of the publication of the annual legal directories Legal 500 and Chambers, where Archor is once again ranked in the top tier of construction lawyers by both.

Legal 500 commented that “The Archor team listens to the merits of the case and then gives an unbiased opinion – even if it is not what we want to hear. They work closely with members of our team and build a relationship based on trust and respect“, exactly what we aim for with all our clients. Andrew Rush remains in its ‘Hall of Fame’, with Ruth Kavanagh and Oli Worth ranked as leading partners and Katrina Bretten a leading associate.

Meanwhile, Chambers feedback included that “Archor is extremely knowledgeable, hard working and dedicated to achieving our goal. The team is always on hand to assist and happy to explain in detail anything that’s required“. Andrew (“an exceptional construction lawyer“), Ruth (who “provides great advice in a clear, concise and understandable way that keeps matters as straightforward as possible”), Oli (who “has always been brilliant and continues to be in everything he does“) and Katrina are all noted in Chambers as well as Legal 500, while Rory Abel is also ranked as “sought out by clients involved in developments in the healthcare, residential and commercial real estate sectors“.
