In just over three years, we’ve grown from a team of seven to twenty five, able to give personalised service but with the scale to get involved in some of the biggest construction disputes and development projects in the UK.

Career Development
Paralegals, trainees and NQs at Archor aren’t there to beef up billable hours on mundane tasks – they’re there to be the next senior fee earners and partners.
By far the best way to learn how to do that is by doing. So our juniors are actively involved in client matters from Day One – whether that be drafting adjudication documents, progressing a development job, attending (and leading) client meetings, and all manner of other ‘real’ work. Of course there will be the occasional mammoth disclosure or bunding effort, but we can guarantee a variety of interesting and challenging work that bigger firms simply can’t.
We also support formal career development. When paralegals are ready, we fund the SQE and support learning with paid time off to study. We also encourage continued development with frequent ongoing external and internal training courses, and arrange construction-specific sessions such as site visits to help show what really goes on.

We don’t think any law firm nowadays should need to tell its staff where, when and how to work in prescriptive detail. Of course, getting work done for clients is the priority. But our approach is to trust staff to know when they need to be in the office, when they can work from home, when they might be able to take a long lunch, and so on.
To assist working remotely, we invest in the best hardware and market-leading technology so that wherever staff login they are able to access, securely, everything they need to get the job done in the most efficient way.
Our two offices, HQ in Colchester and a second office in Cambridge, also mean that for those that don’t want to be at home or on the road, there is always space to work with colleagues. And with colleagues as fantastic as at Archor, that itself is a big benefit.
