My journey to becoming a solicitor began within local authorities, where I honed my skills across three separate county councils. It was during my seat in commercial law that I explored the intricacies of construction law from advising on complex projects to negotiating key contracts and documents, all within the construct of commercial decision-making.

Once I qualified, I moved into the private sector where I became heavily involved in both contentious and non-contentious work. On the contentious side, I’ve acted for companies and individuals faced with defective works in their respective properties and developments, advised on court processes as well as seeing them through the extensive pre-action protocol process and adjudications. My role also often involves analysing contractual clauses to determine the merits of potential litigation or advocating for alternative dispute resolution methods.

On the non-contentious side, I have experience working closely with developers across various construction phases. I’ve advised how to spot and prevent potential risks throughout the project timeline which gives stakeholders useful insights for future projects.
