Amelia Formoy

I joined Archor as a paralegal in September 2023, after studying Law at the University of Essex for three years. From April 2024 I commenced my training with the firm as a trainee solicitor, before qualifying as a Solicitor in November 2025.

My role is extremely varied and differs day-to-day. While I have experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters, I am mainly involved in non-contentious matters. I have experience managing multiple development projects and have a particular focus on contract drafting and advisory matters based on standard forms such as the JCT suite alongside bespoke forms. I have experience working with developers, contractors and consultants on a variety of projects of all sizes. On the contentious side, I have assisted with adjudications, enforcement proceedings and debt recovery actions.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, spending time with friends and family, and playing the piano.
