Adam Brown

Legal Director

I specialise in construction disputes and have over five years of experience acting as a construction lawyer.

I began my career at a leading regional firm where I trained and subsequently qualified in its busy construction team. I then spent 18 months in London at a large international firm, before joining Archor in October 2022 as a Senior Associate.

My work predominantly revolves around adjudications and their enforcement, but I also have a wealth of experience with all other forms of dispute resolution (including litigation, arbitration, mediation and expert determination). I have brought and defended claims for most parties in the construction supply chain including employers, main contractors and sub-contractors as well as consultants (both domestically and internationally). That work often concerns the resolution of interim and final accounts, defective works, extensions of time, loss and expense and variations.

In addition, I regularly provide ad hoc advice on a range of contractual and commercial issues that can arise on construction projects. Recent examples of advice given include fire safety, force majeure, the prevention principle and the application and interpretation of the warranty provisions in a bespoke form contract.
