Training

Whatever you or your team’s training needs are, we have them covered.

Legal updates

We periodically host our own free legal updates – including webinars and seminars. Keep an eye on our news page for details of these. If you have a topic you think we should discuss, please let us know – we appreciate that those at the coal face generally know far better than us lawyers in our ivory towers what you really want to hear about.

Between training sessions, we also produce frequent articles and legal updates on developments of interest, alongside our periodic Aggregate newsletter. You can review past articles on our News page and again, if you have something you’d like us to write about but can’t find it, let us know – we’re always grateful for inspiration.

Training sessions

If you need something more in-depth, we offer a range of tailored training sessions from hour long refreshers to whole day seminars. While we have plenty of sessions ready to go, including:

  • Construction law basics – forming a contract, basic administration, and an introduction to the Construction Act
  • Getting to know JCT and NEC contracts – introduction and getting the best out of the standard forms
  • Payment provisions in construction contracts – getting payment right
  • Adjudication – what is it and what you need to know
  • Party Walls etc Act – explaining how party walls are dealt with
  • CDM 2015 – explaining parties’ obligations and what happens when health and safety obligations are breached
  • Construction law for the public sector – an introduction to construction law issues with a particular focus on public sector issues, ideal for local authorities involved with development work

The above is just a selection – if it concerns construction law we’ve probably talked about it before (and if we haven’t, we’d love the opportunity to talk about something new!).

We are also frequently asked to produce bespoke training for clients and to deliver it to groups small and big wherever and whenever you need. Get in touch to discuss what we can offer.
