The Times has published its list of the Best Law Firms for 2024 – and for the first time, we’re delighted to say that Archor is one of them. The esteemed list names the top 250 from the nearly 10,000 firms in England and Wales.
We were genuinely surprised to see our name amongst the array of established names – many of them international firms with multiple offices, hundreds or thousands of staff, and turnovers with more noughts than (as humble lawyers) we can count.
This good news comes on the back of our being ranked once again in the top tier of construction lawyers by both The Legal 500 and Chambers – you can read more about that here.
Unlike those directories – which are based on feedback from our brilliant clients and contacts – The Times rankings are based on other lawyers’ recommendations. Solicitors and barristers in England, Wales and Scotland are asked to recommend the best law firms (aside from their own!) in various categories – and those with the most votes among the nearly 10,000 firms in England and Wales make the list.
We are the only of the fourteen firms ranked for construction that doesn’t have a London office. We’re also by far the newest and smallest of the lot – proving once again that size isn’t everything. It bears testament to what we often say: that while we’re a bit different from most law firms, our experience and knowledge we compete with the very best.
Its lawyers have many years of experience in the construction industry, from involvement in billion-pound developments to residential refurbishments.
