Molly Lockerbie

I am an Associate solicitor at Archor, having completed my training here and qualifying as a solicitor in December 2024. I joined Archor as a paralegal in August 2022 after 3 years of studying law at the University of East Anglia, before becoming a trainee in June 2023.

It has been great to start my career at such a well-rounded and friendly firm, which offers so much experience. As well as being a knowledge hub, the team is always around to help each other. The support from my colleagues was invaluable while undertaking the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations alongside my training contract.

I am born and bred in Colchester, meaning I am always on hand to make sure every day in the Colchester office is entertaining. My day-to-day life at Archor varies, but predominantly includes supporting the partners and associates with a variety of matters. I frequently assist with contentious matters, having more recently started running adjudications (and often enforcing them) myself. I also have experience in assisting with litigation and mediation.

As well as this, I enjoy assisting with the non-contentious side of things – drafting and reviewing contracts, appointments, warranties and everything in between. Here at Archor we are all very hands-on, so I have enjoyed leading multiple projects of a lower value.

In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, and spending time with my family and friends. I am attempting to get into running with my fellow Archor Run Club members, and hope to one day run a marathon, although I can safely say will never participate in a Tough Mudder again!
