I joined Archor LLP as a paralegal in summer 2021, having previously worked overseas in publishing. So far I’m really enjoying the dynamic working environment of a specialist construction law firm, and there’s rarely a dull moment.
A lot of my day is spent undertaking administrative work for the partners and grappling with clerical challenges. I am also involved with the partners’ client matters, helping out wherever I can. In my view, the most interesting aspect of legal work is in the research that underlies it. Seeking out the facts, and collating them in an assimilable way is an integral part of building a case in any area of the law, and it’s this kind of work about which I am most curious.
Chiefly, I spend my spare time reading, writing, sleeping and running – although not usually at the same time.
